**Job Title:** Registered Nurse
**Job Specialty:** Pediatrics
**Job Duration:** 13 weeks
**Shift:** 3 12-hour shifts per week, including weekends and holiday requirements
**Guaranteed Hours:** 36 hours per week
**Experience:** Minimum 1 year of experience
**License:** Current RN License from the State Board of Nursing or a current multistate compact RN License (eNLC)
**Certifications:** Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) issued by the American Heart Association
**Must-Have:**
- RN License
- BLS and PALS certification
- Pediatric experience
- Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program
**Job Description:**
- Provide nursing care to a diverse group of patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex.
- Assume responsibility for an assigned group of patients.
- Document patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments; note all changes in physician order on assigned patients.
- Assist physicians in the examination of patients and in performing minor diagnostic procedures and treatments.
- Obtain and monitor physiological data of patients, observe physiological manifestations, and intervene when necessary.
- Administer medication as prescribed and initiate, regulate, and monitor intravenous infusions and blood products.
- Deliver patient care competently and effectively communicate with patients and their families regarding care plans and hospital procedures.
- Delegate tasks to support staff as necessary and make referrals regarding patient care needs.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices, techniques, and procedures
- Ability to organize, plan, coordinate, and evaluate nursing services and apply nursing techniques
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to respond effectively to cultural and language needs of patients and visitors
- Basic computer skills
