The Consultant Manager plays a pivotal role in nurturing a high-performance culture that prioritizes both personal and professional growth, as well as inclusive leadership excellence. Reporting directly to the Director of Data Science and Strategy, this role will manage data science consultants and lead data science personnel development, as well as collaborate closely with the Vice President of Organizational Development to gain a deep understanding of business objectives.

Responsibilities:

  1. Craft career pathway tools with well-defined steps for growth and identify, develop, and deliver talent management and training solutions for the data science team while fostering a performance culture that encourages both talent growth and organizational health.
  2. Effectively manage a team of 20 – 30 CATCH Data Science Consultants.
  3. Align consultant skills with the future vision and needs of Data Science sales.
  4. Support the selection of best-fit candidates to meet sales demand and manage small to medium size engagements.
  5. Coach, develop, and support a high-performing team of data scientists and interns in an inclusive and highly engaging environment.
  6. Mentor direct reports in developing and cultivating consultative skills and increase awareness of the interrelationship between departments promoting cross collaboration and innovation.
  7. Effectively manage the Data Science consultant team and lead the performance cycle of the team, including weekly check-ins, quarterly scorecards, year-end reviews, Individual Development Plans, and training development paths.
  8. Address consultants’ requirements, concerns, issues and help them learn to succeed regardless of the environment.
  9. Brainstorm with Data Science consultants to promote ongoing project engagement and Data Science extensions.
  10. Monitor, track, and report progress and metrics on multiple aspects of Data Science Practice as requested by the Director of Data Science and Strategy.
  11. Manage Data Science Internship coordination, education, and evaluation.
  12. Play a pivotal role in driving business results through the growth and development of people.
  13. Foster a culture of continuous learning and excellence.
  14. Establish and refine KPIs and talent metrics to track Talent Development, succession planning, and training.
  15. Conduct talent assessments, identify top/emerging talent and implement retention strategies.
  16. Support hiring of best-fit candidates, orientation, and onboarding of consultants.
  17. Collaborate and communicate extensively with the Director of Data Science and Strategy and the Vice President of Organizational Development, as well as other CATCH managers and leaders.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in business or related field.
  2. Travel may be required on a limited basis.
  3. Proven track record managing consultants, developers and/or administrators.
  4. Experience developing career paths.
  5. Ability to multi-task and work effectively at a fast pace.
  6. Exceptional listening skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to follow through.
  7. Proficient with MS Office Suite.
  8. Excellent verbal and written presentation skills.
