Medical Center Development (MCD) , in partnership with the Lucile Packard Foundation for Children's Health, supports Stanford Medicine. MCD’s passionate and experienced fundraising professionals and partner teams work closely to create a donor-centric approach to development.

Reporting to the Assistant Director of Administrative Services on the Cancer Major Gifts team at MCD, the Senior Program Manager, Prospect Communication and Content Management supports the efforts of fundraisers on the team as well as overall Stanford Medicine priorities. Your primary responsibilities include:

Writing and Designing Materials/Content Management (60%):

  • Reviewing complex scientific information and synthesizing to create and design compelling and concise prose for major gift prospects and donors as well as volunteers.
  • Conceptualizing, developing, and designing visuals for donor and volunteer engagement using graphic design skills.
  • Writing program and faculty research overviews, case for support, gift opportunities, donor proposals, acknowledgments, stewardship letters, briefing materials, and other communication for donors, faculty, and volunteers.

Reporting and Data Analytics (20%):

  • Utilizing reporting and MCD databases to conduct data analysis projects or inform project management.

Events (20%):

  • Leads the development and drives implementation of the event strategy.
  • Manages overall arc of events and serves as the point person for event implementation.

To be successful in this position, you will bring:

  • Bachelor's degree and three years of relevant experience or combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Exceptional writing skills, research and editorial competencies; ability to synthesize complex information and compose clear and compelling prose.
  • Experience using graphic design software such as inDesign, and/or Adobe Illustrator is strongly preferred.
  • Positive, can-do attitude and dedicated work ethic.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills. Strong customer-service focus; excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

The expected pay range for this position is $69,100 to $115,000 per annum.
