Posting Summary
Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Job Coach for the Center of Adult Autism services within the Graduate School of Applied and Professional Psychology.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
- Works within the instructional setting under the supervision of a behavior analyst to support the vocational and recreational goals of adults with autism.
- Provides direct care to adults with autism in a variety of settings and contexts (e.g., community, vocational, recreational, center-based, etc.).
- Implements ABA instructional and behavior reduction programming as is appropriate under the supervision of a BCBA
- Collects and maintains data to support progress monitoring of skill acquisition and behavior reduction programming.
- Maintains an efficient and organized instructional environment. This may involve the preparation of instructional materials, the creation/maintenance of data storage systems (e.g., binders), and/or physically arranging the instructional space.

Qualifications
Minimum Education and Experience
- High School diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Must have an interest in school climate and culture.
- Must have excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills.
- Must demonstrate attention to detail.
- Previous experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
- The ability to work well with adult with autism that have significant educational, physical, and/or behavioral support needs.
- Must be able to complete training in crisis management.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
- Qualified applicants must have the ability to work 12-19.5 hours per week on a set schedule with majority of hours during regular work and school day hours (a subset of hours between 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.).
