SUMMARY:
Under the direction of the Loan Review Manager, will provide assistance for the independent and objective evaluation of the quality of the loan portfolio, the adequacy of loan documentation, and the effectiveness of loan administration functions. Assists with the effective communication of results of reviews, in verbal and written forms.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Thorough knowledge of commercial and consumer lending, banking laws and regulations, to effectively assist with the assessment of credit risk and the monitoring of compliance with loan policy, policies and procedures, applicable laws and regulations.
Assists with identification and assessment of credit, legal and strategic risks arising from lending activities.
Assesses collectability of extensions of credit through review of customer financial information, collateral information and documentation, and payment history. Assigns appropriate risk grades to reflect relative risk of default or loss. Recommends corrective actions to assist with resolution or workout of problem situations.
Evaluates adequacy of loan and collateral documentation and the effectiveness of loan administration.
Reviews commercial credits of all types and complexities.
Performs tasks related to the Loan Review function including sample selection, review of workpapers completed by other Loan Review staff, and preparation of reports conveying the results of the unit review.
Leads exit meetings for unit reviews.
Provides guidance for Loan Review staff.
Assists in special projects including due diligence work.
Works under the supervision of the Loan Review Department Manager.
Other duties may be assigned.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Banking is a highly regulated industry and you will be expected to acquire and maintain a proficiency in the Bank's policies and procedures, and adhere to all laws, rules and regulations that are applicable to your conduct and the work you will be performing. You will also be expected to complete all assigned compliance training in a timely manner.
Must develop a good working knowledge of commercial lending, including collateral documentation, generally accepted practices and financial analysis skills.
Must be willing to work as part of a team.
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
Ability to utilize tools provided in performing job responsibilities

- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a business-related field required. Accounting or Finance major preferred.
- A minimum of 8 years of experience as a Federal Bank Examiner, Loan Review or Credit Analysis capacity is required.
- BAI Loan Review Certification preferred.
- RMA Credit Risk Certification required.
