As a Sales Development Representative with Sona, your objectives will be focused on navigating the initial phases of the sales journey, from prospecting to presenting Sona's products to relevant targets through insightful understanding. You'll manage a pipeline of prospects, starting with strategic cold outreach, engaging leads with a clear grasp of their requirements, scheduling meetings, and collaborating with the sales team to drive deals to completion.

Objectives

  • Convey the breadth of Sona’s products and services, using comprehensive knowledge and original insights to articulate the alignment of our solutions with customer needs.
  • Generate leads, book meetings, and build relationships through cold outreach initiatives.
  • Manage and maintain a pipeline of interested prospects and engage additional sales team members with next steps.
  • Identify best practices for refining the company’s lead-generation playbook.

Responsibilities

  • Be an essential part of generating new sales opportunities for Sona’s product offerings.
  • Utilize Salesforce, Pipedrive, email, and cold calls to set up qualified meetings for Account Executives.
  • Identify segmentation for prospects with pain points that align with Sona’s product offerings.
  • Dive into the needs of prospects and suggest the relevant products or services.
  • Build long-term, trusting relationships with prospects to qualify leads as sales opportunities.
  • Proactively seek new business opportunities in the market.
  • Report progress with weekly, monthly, and quarterly results.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • 3 or more years of experience in sales, with a track record of exceeding targets.
  • Ambitious, determined, and team-oriented self-starter with long-term thinking.
  • Quick to adapt and steer conversations based on a prospect's needs.
  • Proven, creative problem-solving approach and strong analytical skills.
  • Excellent in both written and spoken communication.
  • Passion for selling, tenacious and undeterred — you believe in yourself.
  • Highly organized and consistent with a focus on operational efficiency, aiming to surpass targets.
  • Skilled at handling pressure, prioritizing tasks, and delivering results.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) or at least five years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience as a sales development representative, with a track record of achieving sales quotas.
  • Proficiency with Salesforce, Hubspot, Pipedrive, or other CRM software.
