Job Summary:
The Regional Manager Fleet Maintenance oversees maintenance operations across multiple locations and states, managing shop managers, service truck technicians, and ensuring that Hub Group's maintenance objectives and plans are effectively communicated and executed within their respective locations. The RMM is responsible for all maintenance, quality processes, and financial measures, acting as a liaison to Operations to resolve any maintenance-related issues. In addition to maintaining compliance with all company policies and applicable laws, the RMM plays a critical role in business growth by driving customer retention, expansion, and new sales. Collaboration with all functional groups is essential to meet operational excellence standards.
Flexible to work 10 hour Shifts M-F (7AM-5PM) Daily

Essential Job Functions:
- Manage a network of outside repair shops to ensure that Hub Group trucks receive the necessary maintenance.
- Control and optimize maintenance costs to maximize the utilization of trucks and drivers.
- Provide repair instructions and directions to outside shops.
- Manage PM cycles and ensure compliance with DOT standards.
- Deliver exceptional customer service to terminal managers and drivers requiring maintenance work.
- Provide timely and accurate communication and updates to Operations, Customer Service, and Safety teams.
- Negotiate repair costs with out-of-network shops and approve outside vendor repairs.
- Approve and handle breakdown repairs.
- Efficiently process all maintenance-related transactions within the system.
- Assist in the analysis, development, and implementation of action plans.
- Play a critical role in growing the branches (business unit) by increasing customer retention, expansion, and new sales.
- Ensure that all locations within the assigned branches, or business unit, comply with company policies and operate within federal, state, provincial, and local laws.
- Collaborate with all functional groups to meet operational excellence standards.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in fleet maintenance management with a focus on cost optimization and reducing downtime.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively use technology and to recommend continuous improvement ideas and actions.
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations, PM schedules, and preventive maintenance practices.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with drivers, terminal managers, and outside vendors.
- Ability to efficiently manage and prioritize tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to travel within the assigned territory as needed.
