Lab Technician

JOB DUTIES:

1. Perform and assist with Scanogen reagent preparation for use in R&D and in the final product.
2. Perform routine and specialized experiments, and assist as needed.
3. Perform quality control for prepared reagents.
4. Prepare buffers and maintain buffer inventory.
5. Calibrate, troubleshoot, and maintain laboratory equipment.
6. Collect and document experiment data and generate detailed experiment reports.
7. Oversee lab inventory and request supplies when needed to maintain stocks.
8. Ensure laboratory safety by following safety guidelines and protocols.
9. Maintain a clean and organized lab space.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

1. Associate's degree (or equivalent) in biological science or related discipline (minimum).
2. At least 1 year of experience as lab technician (or equivalent) in industrial or academic laboratory.
3. Ability to interact with colleagues in a team environment.
4. Willingness to perform a variety of tasks beyond area of core expertise.

LAB TECHNICIAN SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Familiarity with a lab environment.
2. Aseptic and sterile techniques.

ADDITIONAL EXPERIENCE:

1. Experience in molecular diagnostics is a plus.
2. Experience in cancer or infectious disease research is a plus.
