Want to join a Michelin-starred team? Rooster & Owl is currently looking for sous chef/executive sous chef to join our management team. We are a chef-owned New American concept that was awarded One Michelin Star in 2021, #2 on Washington Post Dining Guide, Essential 38 from Eater DC, Semi-Finalist from James Beard for Best New Restaurant, and multiple RAMMY nominations. What we are looking for:
- an experienced sous chef/executive sous with an passion for seasonal cuisine and vision that will compliment our cuisine
- at least two to three years of experience at a reputable restaurant, preferably critically acclaimed or Michelin-starred
- strong sense of urgency
- desire to learn and improve on the craft
- good communication and leadership skills
- ability to work well in a small team dynamic
What we have to offer:
- dinner only Tuesday thru Saturday (Sunday/Monday off each week)
- no lunch or brunch shifts
- competitive wage and reasonable work hours (50 to 55 average)
- PTO, health insurance, and bonus available after a probationary period
- supportive work environment
- creative input on the menu (we involve the whole team when we work on new dishes)
