Job Title: Staff Accountant - Broker Dealer (Hybrid: Onsite and Remote Work)

Responsibilities
- Perform day-to-day critical accounting functions including reconciliations, accounts payable, and month-end close procedures.
- Work closely with brokers, clients, and internal teams to manage daily operations.
- Process incoming and outgoing client transactions.
- Contribute to the ongoing surveillance of potential fraudulent activities.
- Assist with routine audits and/or regulatory examinations as necessary.
- Participate in projects and independently initiate improvements to existing policies and procedures.
- Utilize accounting and other software applications, financial systems, and databases to record, track, and analyze financial information.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- 1-3 years of accounting experience, preferably in the financial services industry or a trading environment.
- Working knowledge of US GAAP.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changes in regulatory requirements.
- Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel.
- Necessary traits: absolute integrity, strong sense of ownership, detail oriented, excellent communication skills, and ability to reflect upon and learn from mistakes.
Preferred Qualifications: CPA, knowledge of SQL or other programming languages, familiarity with SEC and CFTC regulations.
