Description:
The Director for Development - VCOM-Virginia is charged with implementing a strategic advancement program that integrates fundraising, alumni and community relations, grant writing for development, and stewardship. The Director will solicit philanthropic gifts from alumni, friends, corporations, and foundations, which align with the overall College's strategic priorities. This highly motivated professional will be involved with the planning and implementation of major gifts solicitation in support of current operations, endowment, capital, and other priorities from private sources. They will fulfill the duties under the direction of the Vice President for College Development and Alumni Affairs.
The nature of this role is highly externally focused, requiring some local, regional, and occasional national travel during regular and non-traditional business hours, and is therefore expected to operate with high levels of autonomy.
