Position: Business Development Manager - Domestic FreightServices

Location:  Memphis, TN

Role Overview:

As the Business Development Manager for Domestic FreightServices, you will play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth from newcustomers. Your proactive approach to sales, coupled with strong industryknowledge in freight forwarding, will be essential in achieving success. Thisposition demands a self-motivated individual who thrives in dynamicenvironments and possesses exceptional negotiation and communication skills. 

Key Responsibilities:

·      Identify and secure new business opportunitiesin domestic freight forwarding services, including Air, Ground, LTL, FTL,Transborder, Final Mile, etc.

·      Manage the assigned territory, leveraging yourextensive knowledge of local customers and competitors to maximize marketpenetration.

·      Initiate and cultivate demand within thedomestic market by identifying growth opportunities and securing targetedbusiness.

·      Build strong rapport and trust with customers byunderstanding their needs and market dynamics. Collaborate effectively withinternal teams to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.

·      Collect relevant customer information andprepare comprehensive documents for RFI/RFP/RFQ processes. Ensure smoothoperational handover to meet customer expectations.

Qualifications:

·      Minimum 3-5 years of proven sales experience infreight forwarding, specifically within domestic sales.

·      Ability to identify and pursue new businessprospects independently

·      Proficiency in CRM systems and MS Office Suiteis required.

·      Strong understanding of commercialtransportation, particularly in domestic freight forwarding.

·      Skilled in building and maintaining strongcustomer relationships through regular off-site meetings.

·      Exceptional communication, presentation, andnegotiation skills to navigate complex sales deals and contract agreementseffectively.

·      Demonstrate a sense of urgency and adaptabilityin achieving sales goals within a fast-paced environment.
