Job Purpose
Using customer supplied documentation, internal tools, and knowledge of PCBA and Electro-Mechanical assembly processes create product specific manufacturing work instructions and shop floor routings needed to accurately and efficiently manufacturing the product.

Duties and Responsibilities
Primary Responsibility is providing engineering support to production groups to meet manufacturability, quality and cost requirements.

Responsible for Production documentation to include:

  • WO Assembly and BOM validation
  • Production flow and Shop Floor Routings
  • Operation specific work instructions
  • Documenting for Production the customer flow down requirements including Inspection criterions, traceability, outside processes, and test.

Responsible for Engineering Change Order’s and In-process Change Orders to include:

  • Assess if any update production floor and/or customer driven changes
  • Update all applicable work instructions and routings
  • Write and implement in Production special instruction for work in process.
  • Coordinate the phase in/cut in process of change with Production

Participate in Continuous Improvements programs to include:

  • Identifying opportunities for capability or process improvement.
  • FMEA activities as required.
  • New order launch process
  • Defect reduction analysis and activities.
  • Assist in employee training and certification.

Qualifications
Must read, write, and understand English, understanding verbal and written instructions. Read and understand manufacturing process instructions, work orders and bills of materials. Understanding of CUI data control, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma and 5S disciplines. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications Word, Excel and Visio and CAD software. Experience with AS9100, ISO13485, Design software such as Solid Works, AutoCAD and Allegro would be advantageous.

Additional Knowledge and Related Experience Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in an Engineering discipline (preferably Industrial or Mechanical) or equivalent experience in related field.
5+ years of Process Engineering or related field in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
