We are currently seeking a Field Engineer-Programmer for our West Texas operations. Local candidates are preferred but we are open to hiring non-local candidates to work on a rotation. This position could be located in Pecos, Texas or Carlsbad, New Mexico.

• Understanding of gas engineering principles and gas measurement standards including AGA 3,
AGA 7, AGA 9
• Strong understanding of the following Roclink 800, Ladder logic/Function Block, Plant Pax,
FactoryTalk Studio, Modbus communications, Redlion/Prosoft, PCCU 7, Command prompt
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Demonstrate ability to perform strong time management skills
• Strong organizational skills to juggle multiple tasks within the constraints of timelines
• Detailed knowledge of automation software and coding languages
• Ability to work with minimal supervision
• Be knowledgeable with tagging conventions, programing simulation and testing
Roles, Work, and Accountabilities
• Understand the facilities equipment, process flow and design automation system that best
support the Asset team
• Follow project schedule, implementation, compliance to design and commissioning
• Ensure all documentation is accurate and complete for all automation projects, will supply
documentation to Project Manager when completed (Engineering Deliverables, Programs,
C&E,P&IDs etc.)
• Design automation programs for wells and facilities
• Communicate all project activities with Asset Teams
• Mentor and Train Other Automation Systems Integrators in PLC programing, LOI programing,
OPC configuration, process control and document generation
• Support Automation Construction and Commissioning Team on complex automation and
process issues
• Work with commissioning Team to test programming for efficiency, safety, and reliability
• Complete all Programming projects ( Control logic, HMI screens, etc. ) accurately and in a timely
manner
• Proactively coordinate with project Manager
Work conditions:
Subject to time pressures and constraints and is also dependent on input from others.
Exposure to and driving in all weather conditions, including extreme heat, extreme cold, sun, rain, hail, sleet, snow, high winds, etc.
