Position Summary:
The Executive Preschool Director plays a critical role in overseeing the operations and management of the school. Working closely with the Board of Directors to ensure financial stability while making sure the preschool’s educational philosophy is upheld.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Leadership and Management:
- Provide overall leadership and direction for the preschool.
- Implement policies and procedures set by the Board of Directors.
- Ensure compliance with state and local regulations, including health and safety standards.
- Staff Supervision and Development:
- Recruit, hire, train, and supervise staff members.
- Conduct regular staff meetings and professional development sessions.
- Evaluate staff performance and provide feedback.
- Program Development:
- Develop and implement age-appropriate educational programs.
- Ensure the curriculum aligns with state standards and the preschool’s educational philosophy.
- Monitor and assess the effectiveness of programs and make necessary adjustments.
- Financial Management:
- Prepare and manage the preschool’s budget.
- Oversee billing, tuition collection, and financial reporting.
- Seek funding opportunities and manage grants.
- Parent and Community Relations:
- Communicate regularly with parents about their child’s progress and school events.
- Foster a welcoming and inclusive environment for families.
- Build and maintain relationships with community partners and stakeholders.
- Operational Oversight:
- Ensure the preschool environment is safe, clean, and well-maintained.
- Manage enrollment and maintain student records.
- Handle administrative tasks and ensure efficient daily operations.
Experience / Qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree in early childhood education, Child Development, or a related field.
- A Minimum five (5) years’ experience in supervising early childhood education staff.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to handle conflicts and solve problems effectively.
A genuine love and commitment to working with children, their development, and their families.

Must regularly lift, carry, and/or move up to 20 pounds and up to 50 pounds occasionally. Ability to push/pull and carry up to 30 pounds. Kneels, stoops, and bends frequently.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
Work is performed primarily indoors in a climate-controlled space. May occasionally perform work in outside weather conditions.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
