Dental Assistant

As an integral Care Team member, Tap360 DAs work collaboratively with providers to ensure dental procedures run smoothly and our patients - many of whom are children - remain comfortable. Working under supervision, DAs assist dentists with patients, instruments, supplies and materials. provide clinical services to patients from the waiting area to the exam room, document care in the EMR, and assist dentists and hygienists with routine care, lab procedures and administrative tasks.

Major Responsibilities:
  • Prepares operatories and equipment for daily use, securing same at day's end
  • Performs preliminary mouth inspections, documents chart findings
  • Serves as dentist's chairside assistant
  • Performs routine laboratory work and takes dental radiographs
  • Understands, observes and monitors all infection control procedures
Minimum Required Qualifications:
  • Successful completion of a Dental Assistant program or
  • At least six months experience as a DA in a dental office/clinic
  • Current Basic Life Support/CPR certification
  • Excellent organizational, customer service and nonverbal active listening skills
Desired Qualifications:
  • Bilingual
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to be comfortable around and work with pediatric patients (school age students and younger)
  • Experience using electronic recordkeeping systems (e.g., athenaPractice, Dentrix, Centricity, Epic, Praxis, Meditech, Cerner, etc.)
