Acenda Integrated Health is recruiting for a Visitation Counselor to support the Child and Family Services - Visitation Program in Cape May, New Jersey.

Job Overview: Visitation Counselors provide progressive visits for children in foster care and their parents with the goal of improving family functioning so reunification can occur or the children attain permanency. Flexible schedules, agency vehicle, laptop and cell phone provided.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate visits between parents and resource parents and transport children to and from visits
  • Provide visit planning, coaching techniques and debriefing; helping to improve parenting skills and interactions so reunification or permanency can occur
  • Ensure the safety of children and model appropriate interactions between parents and children
  • Work collaboratively with peers, DCP&P and other community providers
  • Complete documentation consistent with program and agency requirements.
Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in counseling, psychology or social work
  • Must be able to analyze work, set goals, develop plans and utilize time effectively and efficiently
  • Must have and maintain a valid driver's license, use of an insured vehicle and an acceptable driving record
