Greylock Energy is seeking a Midstream Engineering Manager to work out of our corporate office in Charleston, West Virginia. As an empowered member of our team, you will oversee engineering activities across a range of oil and gas activities, including pipelines, facilities, operations, and maintenance. This role requires a blend of strong leadership, technical expertise, and a comprehensive understanding of midstream systems and industry regulations. The Midstream Engineering Manager will collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety.

PRIMARY JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES


To perform this job successfully, the candidate must be able to effectively perform the following duties; other duties may be assigned.

  • Complete projects from feasibility studies and front-end cost estimates through detailed engineering, design, and construction.
  • Create as-built drawings.
  • Participate in pre-startup safety reviews.
  • Define, coordinate, and review the work of engineering disciplines, both in-house and with external contractors.
  • Develop scopes of work and for-bid packages for engineering, construction, and commissioning activities.
  • Provide technical oversight for natural gas pipelines and facilities projects.
  • Continuously review assets to enhance safety, mechanical reliability, operational flexibility, and capacity.
  • Design gas and liquid piping, meter stations, compressor stations, and pump stations.
  • Interpret and create Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), Plot Plans, Piping Plans, and Piping Isometrics.
  • Specify materials and equipment, including separators, filters, tanks, heat exchangers, air coolers, pumps, compressors, treaters, dehydrators, relief devices, control valves, and regulators.
  • Apply knowledge of industry codes, standards, and regulations to ensure compliance and best practices.
  • Develop process simulations and material & energy balances using ProMax software.
  • Provide technical support to operations, including troubleshooting, debottlenecking, optimization, maintenance projects, Process Safety Management (PSM) compliance, and participation in Process Hazard Analysis (PHA).
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including safety, environmental, operations, construction, commercial, land/ROW, and third-party contractors.
  • Proactively seek opportunities for learning and development, and demonstrate initiative in finding solutions to maximize business value.


QUALIFICATIONS


  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering is preferred.
  • 5+ years of engineering experience in natural gas is required.
  • Proficient in designing and optimizing gathering, automation, compression, processing, rotating equipment, measurement equipment, and piping interconnects in natural gas transmission facilities is required.
  • In-depth knowledge of common engineering practices and industrial codes, including ANSI, ASME, ASTM, API, IEC, NACE, NEC, and NFPA is required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams), Microsoft Project, AutoCAD, and ProMax simulation software is required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
  • Ability to interface effectively with project sponsors, government agencies, external engineering resources, construction teams, and equipment supply firms is required.
  • Capability to manage engineering and design for multiple projects simultaneously is required.
  • Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and respond to after-hours calls as needed is required.
