JOB DESCRIPTION:
This is a customer-focused position with responsibility for the life cycle of Return Authorizations (RA), from generation through execution of product disposition, including submission of claim requests for loss of value, timely transaction processing, and asset disposition across multiple sites for the SEA logistics network. This position ensures a positive customer experience by addressing Reverse Logistics requirements, supporting internal and external stakeholders, to close open RA requests while assuring the timely recovery of product. Playing a pivotal role, this position ensures effective coordination and communication, in a cross-functional environment, to drive efforts as a SME, provide reporting to the department and other business leaders, represent a Reverse Logistics perspective with cross-functional teams, and coordinating efforts with technical groups to support a quality customer experience and provide the highest level of customer service.
This role will actively coordinate logistics operations and identify areas for performance improvements. Works independently and as part of a team with adequate understanding of logistics processes. Generates, analyzes, and reports Key Performance Indicators for Reverse Logistics. Will be responsible for process performance at the 3PLs, working closely with on-site personnel to drive results. Supports warehouse operations to ensure timely disposition of product returns and assist with or manages projects aligned to the client's reverse logistics strategic objectives. Applies technical knowledge of departmental principles and procedures to perform work within company and regulatory guidelines.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Return authorization management and logistics processing of return shipments from customers to warehouse, including reconciling claims, invoice discrepancies, inventory variance, and product disposition.
Work closely with Warehouse Operations, Logistics, Transportation, Finance, and Supply Chain teams.
All other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree with minimum 4 to 5 years' experience.
Minimum 6-8 years' experience without a college degree
Advanced Excel required
SAP experience required
Understands the order life cycle as it relates to Warehouse, Logistics, and Supply Chain operations.
Demonstrated ability to analyze information to identify and recommend appropriate course of action.
Apply problem-solving skills to address issues and work through others for sustainable resolution.
Conduct transactional processes to facilitate customer product returns to the warehouse, under managerial supervision, making routine decisions.
Track and resolve shipping, warehouse, carrier, and inventory discrepancies following general guidelines, and identifying exceptions or high-cost deviations for manager approval.
Ensure completion of processes and transaction to manage product returns, insuring accurate inventory management and timely execution of product disposition.
Generate, analyze, and report KPIs for business process to include days of inventory, aged inventory, rework solutions, and shipping activity supporting Reverse Logistics.
Identify standard problems within the delivery cycle and product life cycle to make recommendations, improve delivery methods or dates, authorize standard returns or claims, and address standard problems to ensure internal and external customer satisfaction.
Works with the logistics team and 3PL's to coordinating activities supporting reverse logistics operations and effective inventory management.
Troubleshoot system discrepancies {WMP & GMP (SAP)} transactional issues to ensure effective inventory management, working with logistics and SAP MIS teams to address system issues or enhancements.
As necessary, complete SAP WMS new process testing, training, and implementation.
Identify opportunities for system and process training and support to complete.
Support bi-annual physical inventories completed at warehouse sites across the network.
Project Coordinator for various operations projects supporting Reverse Logistics initiatives.
Experience with materials management, master scheduling, or production planning helpful.
Order management and customer service experience helpful.
Experience with inventory management and warehouse operations helpful.
Able to read, prepare, interpret, and understand logistics documentation to ensure accuracy and determine actions for customer returns processing and resolution.
Works on problems of routine scope requiring data analysis and reporting from system and non-system sources.
Exercises judgment within defined practices and policies in selection of methods and techniques to determine solutions.
Possesses general knowledge of logistics operations related to order management, logistics operations, and inventory controls.
Able to identify issues within the delivery cycle and make recommendations for resolution to authorize standard returns and determination of claims.
Excellent communication skills are critical when speaking with internal/external customers.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
This position is based at the client's office in Santa Ana, California.
Due to the nature of the business, this role requires the incumbent to be available Monday through Friday during business hours.
Must be able to work after-hours or weekends as needed.
May be required to travel within the United States.
Ability to work within a warehouse environment as necessary.
