About the Role
We are looking for a Full Stack Developer to produce scalable software solutions within the Workplace engineering team. You will be part of a cross-functional team that is responsible for the full software development life cycle, from conception to deployment. As a Full Stack Developer, you should be comfortable around both front-end and back-end coding languages, development frameworks, and third-party libraries. You should have solid software engineering experience in building commercial-grade web-based applications and scalable cloud-centric APIs.
A successful candidate will be able to play an active role in managing the prioritization of work to meet project goals.
Responsibilities
- Work with development teams and product managers to build software.
- Design & develop client-side and server-side architecture.
- Build the front-end of applications using JavaScript technologies (VueJS, NodeJS).
- Write scalable APIs using Java-based technologies (Java 8+, Java Spring Boot).
- Develop software with a focus on security, availability, and scalability.
- Write technical documentation.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a full-stack developer or similar role.
- 1-3 years experience in any JavaScript frameworks (such as Angular, VueJS, Node.js, React) and libraries (HTML5 / CSS3).
- 5-7 years experience in back-end languages (Java).
- Familiarity with any database technologies – Microsoft SQL, PostgreSQL.
- Experience in AWS (Amazon Web Services) based environment building serverless applications is a plus.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Great attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Experience within the financial services industry is a plus.
The position is based in our Chicago office.
