The Sr. Procurement Contract Specialist role will work with a diverse team of stakeholders including but not limited to category managers, sourcing managers, business development, operations teams, legal department, tax department, international trade compliance, and procurement departments throughout the company. In addition, to contracting activities this role will act as a supplier contracting subject matter expert and perform training for the organization from time to time. This role may also lead in the development of less experienced Procurement Contract Specialists within the Contracts Center of Excellence team.A successful candidate will have in-depth knowledge of commercial contracts clauses, RF(x) preparation, cost modeling; will have analytical skills in financial, market, and index reviews; and advanced negotiation acumen.Key Responsibilities Include:Ensure alignment of CCOE to Category Management strategyIdentify vendors that require contracts and prioritizeDraft commercial language and negotiate contractsAnalyze supplier data and information for contract negotiationsProvide Category Management with options during contract negotiationsProvide regular updates of contract status to managementProvide procurement contracts subject matter expert support/guidance to global supply chain organizationLead Procurement Contracts Training coursesParticipate or Lead various projects around global contracting processesRequirements:Bachelor’s degree with 3 years of work experience or minimum 5 years of work experience in contract drafting and negotiationsProficient in CLM systems and Microsoft Office applicationsAbility to handle multiple priorities and identify creative solutions to complex problemsAbility to develop actionable results, gaining cross functional support, and implement successfullyExcellent presentation, verbal and written communications skillsStrategic mindset, with critical reasoning and qualitative analysis experienceAbility to both work independently and as a member of teamsKnowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesPreferred Qualifications:MBAOil and Gas service industry experienceExperience in Supply ChainProficient in SAP ERP system, Business Warehouse, supply chain software applicationsExperience working the Purchase-To-Pay processesExperience leading teamsCandidates having qualifications that exceed the minimum job requirements will receive consideration for higher level roles given (1) their experience, (2) additional job requirements, and/or (3) business needs.
