The ideal candidate should possess robust writing skills, a strong business and entrepreneurial acumen, and proactive attributes along with exceptional communication, analytical, problem-solving, and issue resolution capabilities. Additionally, the role necessitates a demonstrated commitment to teamwork and client service, adept management of internal and external client and counsel relationships, and effective handling of multiple files and competing deadlines. Duties:
- Conduct thorough legal research and analysis pertaining to appellate matters.
- Draft appellate briefs, motions, and other legal documents with precision and persuasiveness.
- Prepare compelling oral arguments for presentation in appellate court hearings.
- Collaborate closely with clients and co-counsel to devise and implement effective case strategies.
- Represent clients proficiently in appellate court proceedings, showcasing strong advocacy skills.
- Provide sound legal advice and counsel on appellate issues to both clients and colleagues.
- Stay abreast of developments in appellate law, regulations, and precedents to ensure up-to-date expertise.
- Efficiently manage multiple files and consistently meet deadlines.
- Assist with other legal matters and projects as required.
Requirements:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the Florida State Bar or eligibility for admission via reciprocity.
- 5-15 years of experience practicing appellate law.
- Strong writing skills and the ability to craft compelling legal arguments.
