ADP is hiring a Director, Ops & Cloud who will be responsible for management of ADP's Global Product & Technology (GPT) agenda on achieving a fundamentally better reliability posture. Does this sound like you?

As a Director, Ops & Cloud, with your breadth of knowledge & depth of experience, you will serve as a leader and subject matter expert to bridge the gap between product and technical aspects of product development. This role is within Smart Compliance Solutions (SCS), a complex ecosystem of various tax products including Core Tax, credits, garnishments and other solutions. We’re in a current state of DevOps transformation, enabling Cloud adoption with underlying operational challenges and there are many opportunities to normalize & build operational efficiencies.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Achieve outcomes through leading others, either directly or through a matrixed relationship, including having accountability for the output and performance of the teams.
  • You hold a leadership role in your team and manage a team of DevOps engineers, demonstrate strong knowledge across multiple technical domains, and advise others on the technical and business issues facing them.
  • Take lead and conduct resiliency design reviews, break up complex problems into digestible work for other engineers, act as a technical lead for medium to large projects.
  • Collaborate closely with Product owners, UX designers, developers, engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to make their ideas a reality.
  • Participate in Scrum meetings, product sprints, and other ceremonies.
  • Bring life to a product by implementing the vision and direction in the product roadmap and strategy.
  • Build collaborative forums to seek forward-thinking solutions that predict and drive positive change leading to an evolutionary transformation including mentoring junior architects and engineers and fostering a culture of technical excellence and innovation.
  • Effectively communicate on current and future technology initiatives and strategy with senior stakeholders, leadership, and C-level executives.

TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE:

  • A minimum of 10+ years of software engineering and/or infrastructure experience.
  • Mastery understanding of cloud software and data center infrastructure, integration and operational ecosystems and product knowledge.
  • Systematic problem-solving approach. Consistently offers recommendations to technical teams based on historical events, personal experience, and knowledge.
  • Capable of decision making and leadership without oversight.
  • Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
  • Fluency in at least one programming language such as (e.g., Python, Java Spring Boot, .Net, etc.).
  • Deep knowledge of software applications and technical processes with emerging depth in one or more technical disciplines.
  • Proficiency and experience in observability such as white and black box monitoring, SLO alerting, and telemetry collection using tools such as Grafana, Dynatrace, Prometheus, Datadog, Splunk, etc.
  • Proficiency in continuous integration and continuous delivery tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab, Terraform, etc.).
  • Experience with container and container orchestration (e.g., ECS, Kubernetes, Docker, etc.).

Base salary offers for this position may vary based on factors such as location, skills, and relevant experience. Some positions may include additional compensation in the form of bonus, equity or commissions. The compensation for this role is $102,100.00 - $273,150.00 / Year.
