Our treatment services range from intensive residential treatment for males ages 9-18 to therapeutic foster care for males and females of all ages. Our RISE and Specialized Therapeutic Foster Care programs for boys are the only programs of their kind in the State of Alabama. The Mental Health Associate:
He/she provides direct care to residents with psychiatric disorders, to ensure their safety and well-being. MHA's have the primary responsibility for ensuring the resident's safety on the unit utilizing a therapeutic approach to all tasks including assistance with daily activities, facilitation of groups and other duties as assigned by Group Leader, Assistant Group Leader, or Shift Supervisor.

This position is 2nd shift 3:00pm-11:30pm , with rotating weekends. This position is also eligible for a $3,000 Sign On Bonus.

QualificationsBachelors or Associates degree in psychology, social work, education, criminal justice, or other related mental health field preferred, but not required.
Detailed and organized with strong documentation skills Able to safely monitor residents and perform physical management techniques and crisis intervention.
Experience in a residential mental/behavioral health setting strongly preferred.
Must be 19 years or older, and have a successful drug screen and background check (includes criminal history, Child Abuse and Neglect Registry, and ABI/FBI fingerprint check).
