Drafting Material Planner

Primary Purpose:
Provides technical support in the development of construction drawings, field sketches, and material takeoffs of structural and piping components.
Essential Functions:

• Prepare material take-offs using design drawings for estimating and procurement of materials purposes.
• Develop structural, piping drawings, and field sketches in support of project requirements - roll letters, cut sheets, etc.
• Performs periodic field visits and provides on-site technical support.
• Perform other related duties as required.

Environmental Conditions:
Most work activities are performed indoors.
Requirements
Physical Requirements Standing - Is an essential job function/physical requirement.
Walking - This is an essential job function/physical requirement.
Turning, twisting, bending, and stooping- These physical requirements are essential job functions.
Balancing, fingering, feeling, talking, hearing, and seeing - These are all considered regular physical duties/requirements and would be needed /required to work in this industrial environment in a safe and efficient manner
Lifting - employees must be able to lift to 15 pounds.
Job Requirements:

• High School diploma.

Desireable Experience:

• Blueprint reading required.
• Experience with MS-Word & MS-Excel required.
• minimum of two (2) years of AutoCAD experience.

Tools and Equipment Used:

• Office equipment

Environmental Conditions:
80 to 90% of the work activities are performed indoors.
