THE OPPORTUNITY

Fisher Phillips, an award-winning international labor and employment law firm, is seeking an experienced Senior AI Manager to lead innovative AI initiatives. Our range of experience enables us to bring efficient and practical solutions to today's labor and employment law problems. In this role, the Senior AI Manager will strategically develop and implement AI technologies to enhance operational efficiency, improve client services, and drive innovation throughout Fisher Phillips. Reporting to the Director of IT Innovation and Development, this leader will work closely with IT, Knowledge Management, and other key stakeholders throughout the firm to support the firm's strategic goals, maintain a competitive edge, and deliver superior value to clients.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Collaborate with Technology, Knowledge Management, and other stakeholders to develop and implement a unified Gen AI strategy that broadly supports firm AI initiatives, with an emphasis on business operations.
  2. Maintain an agile Gen AI roadmap consistent with the firm’s strategy.
  3. Advise leadership on the latest trends and emerging technologies, including opportunities to leverage improved AI and automation to create efficiency or enhance client services.
  4. Oversee the design, development, and responsible implementation of AI models, proof-of-concepts, and production AI solutions, ensuring seamless integration and value creation.
  5. Ensure AI solutions adhere to standards and specifications defined by key stakeholders and business owners (often IT or Knowledge Management).
  6. Offer strategic insights and leadership on the long-term implications, risks, and ethical considerations of AI.
  7. Mentor, coach, and manage a team of AI experts fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and ethical AI.
  8. Coordinate with other Technology teams on projects involving system implementations, application deployments, development, data science, or analytics.
  9. Identify training opportunities that increase awareness and adoption of firm-supported AI tools.
  10. Oversee implementation of operational policies and plans for executive leadership’s recommendation and approval.
  11. Ensure that the company's use of AI is ethical, responsible, and all compliance requirements are met.
  12. Ensure all AI solutions adhere to security and governance standards and policies.
  13. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

  1. Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required, and an advanced degree or relevant certifications are highly preferred.
  2. Extensive experience in AI/ML, data science, or related fields, with a proven track record in professional services industries.
  3. Exceptional leadership skills, with experience in building, mentoring, and guiding high-performing diverse teams of AI professionals.
  4. Demonstrated success in developing and deploying AI-driven solutions and models, particularly within the legal or professional services sectors.
  5. Strong understanding of AI and machine learning technologies, including natural language processing (NLP), deep learning, and generative models.
  6. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, and frameworks/platforms like TensorFlow, PyTorch, Hugging Face, and Keras.
  7. Knowledge of cloud storage solutions like Snowflake, Azure Blob Storage, AWS S3, and data management services such as Azure Data Lake and AWS Lake Formation.
  8. Experience with automation tools and Robotic Process Automation (RPA) platforms.
  9. Experience with data analysis, statistical modeling, and data visualization tools.
  10. Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a diverse team of AI and automation professionals.
  11. Advanced communication and written skills.
  12. Excellent organization, problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
  13. Able to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously with a high degree of accuracy, professionalism, and client-service orientation.
  14. Strong sense of urgency and a high-energy level.
