Southeast Louisiana Area Health Education Center (SELAHEC), in conjunction with the Louisiana Office of Public Health Bureau of Infectious Diseases, is seeking applicants to join our Health Information Systems team for the critical role of Electronic Case Reporting (eCR) Technical Project Lead/Senior Analyst. This position will be a majority remote position based at the Louisiana Office of Public Health Bureau of Infectious Diseases (La. OPH BID) office located in New Orleans, La. The successful candidate will report to the Interoperability Supervisor.
The eCR Technical Project Lead/Senior Analyst serves as the eCR subject matter expert and should be able to manage development projects as well as collaborate with other stakeholders such as data analysts and epidemiologists. The eCR Technical Project Lead/Senior Analyst possesses a strong technical background, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to manage and implement complex technical projects.
Candidates for the position must hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Sciences, or a related field, or have equivalent experience/specialized training. Proficiency with SQL, Git, Python, JavaScript, data analysis packages, general programming, or software development is preferred. Familiarity with Rhapsody integration engine, Health Level 7 (HL7) standards such as electronic laboratory reporting (ELR), electronic case reporting (eCR), HL7 v2, CDA, FHIR, etc., and health information vocabularies and data standards (e.g., LOINC and SNOMED codes) is a plus.
