Juniper is Growing! We are seeking a Regional HR Manager for our team. The Regional HR Manager oversees all phases of the employee lifecycle, from acquiring top talent to their retirement, for assigned branches. They are responsible for the oversight, implementation, and enforcement of HR programs, policies, and procedures. The Regional HR Manager also serves as a bridge between other HR functions, management, and employees, aligning HR policies with field operations and implementing initiatives that foster a positive work environment, cultivate leaders, drive engagement, and strengthen our company culture.

Responsibilities:

  • Follow, promote, and enforce all labor laws, safety policies, practices, and procedures to ensure safe working conditions and behaviors are maintained. Assist with safety investigations and corrective actions related to safety hazards and/or incidents.
  • Oversee and monitor the implementation and effectiveness of all HR programs, policies, and procedures related to compensation, benefits, performance management, employee relations, growth and development, and recognition. Continuously identify and recommend enhancements to HR programs, policies, and procedures to HR leadership.
  • Monitor and implement compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws, including FLSA, immigration reform, FMLA, Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, ADA, USERRA, WARN, FCRA, and other applicable regulations.
  • Work closely with management and employees to ensure positive work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
  • Consult, advise, and train managers on handling complex employment issues, including administering our corrective action process, up to and including terminations.
  • Act as a mediator in conflict resolution to address workplace disputes effectively. Conduct or manage employment investigations in response to employee complaints as needed.
  • Support the Talent Acquisition team with attracting, selecting, and onboarding the best candidates for open requisitions. Assist with creating and/or revising job descriptions as requested.
  • Coach and mentor managers and employees to foster professional and personal growth that aligns with the Company’s values and culture.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of the performance management process to ensure compliance and equity.
  • Support the leadership team with developing action plans in response to exit interview and engagement survey responses to foster a positive work environment.
  • Partner with the Learning & Development team to identify and develop future leaders. Create and administer growth and development paths and succession planning to ensure leadership continuity.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of record retention policies. Monitor compliance by auditing and maintaining accurate and complete records (e.g., Form I-9s, E-Verify, NDAs, offer letters, driving records, background screenings, drug testing, etc.) within various platforms, including our Human Capital Management (HCM) system.
  • Lead and/or participate in the development and implementation of HR initiatives and projects.
  • Monitor and report on workforce metrics, including turnover trends, performance metrics, pay equity, and other meaningful data.
  • Oversee the processing and approval of all personnel actions related to performance, employment status, compensation, position, etc.
  • Support the M&A integration process by initiating change management processes, training programs, and effectively communicating company policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with colleagues in Safety, Talent Management, and Learning & Development to ensure program alignment and a holistic employee experience.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the HR function. Leverage HR technology and modern HR practices to improve processes and the employee experience.
  • Perform essential functions of direct reports as required.
  • Support the Director of Human Resources in completing their essential functions during periods of absences or higher business demands.
  • Participate in special projects or committees as needed.
  • Other relevant duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR Administration or related field or equivalent experience required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in human resources. Prior management experience preferred.
  • Bi-lingual in English and Spanish preferred.
  • Ability to travel up to 25%.
  • Experience in a multi-state environment and knowledge of relevant state-specific employment laws preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of labor laws and HR best practices with a strong focus on compliance. Extensive experience with immigration laws (e.g., Form I-9 and E-Verify) preferred.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while various HR processes and procedures are in the development or improvement phase.
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills, with the ability to interpret HR metrics and data.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Experience partnering with internal stakeholders across various departments.
  • PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP certification preferred.
