Job Requirements / Description

A leading entertainment organization is seeking a QA Engineer to ensure the quality of data in their relational databases and data lake.

Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain a QA process framework.
  • Design a data governance ETL framework.
  • Profile and understand various data sources, including structured and unstructured data.
  • Write complex SQL queries to test ETL functionalities.
  • Test dashboards, scorecards, and reports.
  • Analyze existing code in ETL tools, stored procedures, and database views.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to document source metadata and enhance existing documentation.
  • Create and execute test cases to ensure data quality, including master data.
  • Document and validate functional requirements and mapping documents.
  • Lead automation testing efforts with business and technology teams.
  • Write SQL/Python/Bash scripts to analyze data.
  • Conduct source-to-target testing and validation.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of QA/engineering experience in a data warehouse environment, including ETL components.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience testing ETL processes.
  • 3+ years of experience writing complex SQL queries and performing backend database validations.
  • Experience testing business intelligence reports (Tableau, Quick Sight, etc.).
  • Advanced SQL skills (nested queries, complex joins, analytic functions) required.
  • Proficiency in programming languages for test scripting (Python preferred).
  • Experience with data warehouses (Teradata, Snowflake, Redshift, Oracle).
  • Familiarity with ETL tools (Talend, Informatica, DataStage).
  • Experience with data quality tools (ETL Validator, Collibra).
  • Prior experience in data/platform migration projects.
