Position Overview

Location

This position is based out of Waltham, MA.

Responsibilities

  1. Develop complete understanding of contract plans and specifications.
  2. Review, analyze and resolve design/construction problems, discrepancies and interferences with the design team, project leadership, Client, and contractors as required.
  3. Ensure that all project engineering activities comply with company and contract requirements and support the development and maintenance of the overall construction schedule.
  4. Provide technical support for construction effort including participation in design interpretation, application of construction methods, identification, resolution and documentation of design conflicts, constructability reviews, etc.
  5. Develop, implement, and administer document control program. Responsible for maintaining all design documents to be current with onsite construction operations.
  6. Responsible for submittal tracking, project logs; all processing, coordination, and documentation as required to facilitate project.
  7. Represent company as required during design review meetings with the design team, project coordination meetings with contractors, etc.
  8. Assist project leadership with development of scopes of work to create and confirm subcontracts and vendor purchase orders.
  9. Oversee the development and periodic updates to the project master schedule using appropriate techniques and scheduling software.
  10. Oversee Contract Administration team, review revisions to drawings and contract documents for change of conditions.
  11. Prepare monthly cost projections using information generated from project management systems and prepare quarterly cash flow projections.
  12. Help drive the company's environmental health and safety programs at the project level.
  13. Manage and support the project team including direct reports and others as needed.
  14. Successfully perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  1. Bachelor’s degree in a construction-related field or equivalent experience and education in project or field engineering.
  2. 7+ years’ experience in the construction or engineering field.
  3. Proven abilities and skills in leadership and management of people, communication (verbal and written), planning, organization, delegation, teaching, and mentoring.
  4. Ability to set standards of excellence in leadership, safety, quality, and productivity.
  5. Must demonstrate excellent team leadership and management skills.
  6. Proficiency in managing project engineering and related functions and activities.
  7. Working knowledge and ability to direct the operation of management systems: accounts payable/accounts receivable, materials control, estimating, job cost updates and subcontracts.

Base Compensation: $138,000/yr - $145,000/yr
