Job Requirements / Description
Symmetrio is actively recruiting for a Business Analyst for our customer, a large government organization in Philadelphia, PA. You will support the initiation, oversight, and completion of various special projects, including web projects, applications, and supporting functionality. The Business Analyst will work closely with the CIO and other departments as required, conducting all activities related to successfully gathering project requirements and participating in the discovery, requirements, design, development, deployment, and operations phases of various IT special projects.
This position will be primarily based onsite in Philadelphia
Responsibilities
- Conduct business observations and facilitate focus group sessions, vision exercises, and design review sessions
- Identify key internal and external stakeholders of projects
- Conduct whiteboarding/brainstorming sessions with stakeholders
- Perform gap analysis
- Collaborate with User Experience design and application developers in the development of presentation tier components
- Facilitate meetings with managers and users at various levels in the organization
- Work with cross-functional/cross-departmental teams
- Identify, document, and clearly diagram all requirements
- Develop detailed requirements
- Create business process and workflow diagrams
- Manage stakeholder relationships and foster continuous communication
- Assist with project scoping and planning
- Develop Use Cases and Test Cases for user testing
- Conduct competitive research on an as-needed basis
- Work closely with the project team on system development and design on an ongoing basis
- Conduct and prepare Knowledge Transfer sessions and periodic reviews as needed
- Build an organized library of all business analysis documentation
- Obtain stakeholder sign-off on all required documentation
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Proficiency in adhering to all required activities in each phase of the project, including Discovery, Requirements, Design, Development, Deployment, and Operations
- Understanding and ability to follow steps of various SDLC methodologies
