Job Title : Logistics Coordinator

Reports To : Plant Manager
Back Up : Warehouse Lead/Plant Manager
SUMMARY
Facilitates the smooth operation of shipping, receiving, and purchasing functions
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Enters Bin Locaters each morning
  • Prepares Bill of Ladings
  • Gathers quotations for shipments, insuring timely delivery at the best cost
  • Sets up pickups and deliveries with trucking companies
  • Receives incoming shipments
  • Expedites urgent shipments
  • Invoice Customer after shipment
  • Assists with regular inventory counts
  • Requests POD'S
  • Provides timely responses to CSV and Sales inquiries about shipments
  • Maintains Distribution files
  • Processes purchase orders
  • Gathers data and compiles reports as needed
  • Establishes and maintains relationships with suppliers
  • Other duties may be assigned

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides indirect supervision for employees in the Shipping Department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or GED; 2 years customer service experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
