Division Project Controller

Our client is searching for a newly created role of Project Controller. Role will help drive accountability, profitability, and efficient project accounting management.

Project Controller (Hybrid):

1. Work with business leaders, cross functional departments, project managers, and corporate accounting on strategic plans, goals, budgets, and performance.
2. Develop Project budgets and forecasts.
3. Prepare general journal entries for some of the company's largest construction projects and Business Unit.
4. Review project gross margins on a monthly/quarterly basis and identify variances.
5. Prepare and review job cost reconciliations and record closing journal entries.
6. Oversee accuracy of project billing and AR according to the contracts.
7. Responsible for monthly account reconciliations.
8. Allocate indirect costs to the project level.
9. Provide additional financial schedules for monthly financial reporting packages.
10. Prepare project financial reports, KPI's and performance.
11. Manage other recurring payments such as insurance premiums, special check requests, and property tax payments.

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance required.

Requirements:

1. Project/job costing.
2. 10+ years of accounting experience.
3. Prior experience in construction or Engineering industry required.
4. Managerial experience.
