Job Requirements / Description

Merch on Demand is Amazon's print-on-demand business for graphic merchandise. Unlike other Amazon businesses, we own our entire flywheel and operate more like a startup. Our flywheel starts with Content Creators who upload and list graphic designs for sale on a selection of our blank products (t-shirts, hoodies, tote bags, pillows, and more), with no upfront cost to them. Once submitted, the graphic design is reviewed for adherence to our Content Policy by both ML models and manual reviewers before it is listed in the Amazon catalog for sale. Live Merch products can be discovered, configured, and purchased by Customers before placing their order. Once an order is placed, it is routed to one of our dedicated Merch Production Centers across the world where the blank product is picked, the graphic design is printed, and the final product is shipped to the customer, often within 6 hours of placing an order. After the order is shipped, we pay a royalty to the Content Creators, incentivizing them to provide more selection. We utilize data engineering to manage our data infrastructure and provide business insights, and applied science to drive innovations in image similarity, product discovery, brand protection, and content generation.
