Position Summary
As Veoci continues to expand, we are seeking a talented Compliance Analyst to join our team. The Compliance Analyst will be responsible for supporting the company’s compliance and risk management programs. This role focuses on identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks, as well as ensuring that all activities comply with industry regulations, internal policies, and best practices. The analyst will collaborate with multiple departments to maintain regulatory compliance and risk standards, evaluate the effectiveness of controls, and recommend improvements as needed.
Responsibilities
- Oversee internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with industry standards, applicable laws, internal policies and regulations (e.g., ISO 27001, SOC2, NIST, PCI-DSS).
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customer or prospect questionnaires ensuring completion in a timely manner.
- Liaise with regulatory agencies and external auditors during inspections and audits.
- Ensure timely submission of regulatory filings, reports, and disclosures.
- Incorporate feedback from audits, investigations, and regulatory reviews to enhance the company’s compliance framework.
- Identify areas of potential risk or non-compliance and recommend corrective actions.
- Develop, implement, and update compliance policies and procedures to reflect current regulations and industry best practices.
- Develop and deliver compliance training programs for employees to ensure understanding and adherence to relevant laws and internal policies.
- Manage systems for reporting compliance violations or ethical concerns (e.g., whistleblowing hotlines) and investigate reported compliance incidents, document findings, and recommend corrective actions or disciplinary measures where necessary.
- Enforce adherence to compliance policies and procedures, implementing disciplinary actions when necessary.
- Work with Security and IT to ensure compliance with data protection and privacy regulations, such as GDPR or HIPAA.
- Evaluate third-party vendors, partners, and suppliers for compliance with applicable regulations and company policies.
- Ensure that external partners adhere to contractual obligations regarding compliance and ethical standards.
- Review contracts for compliance and insurance requirements, document and log those requirements for visibility, and ensure ongoing compliance. Coordinate with insurance agents/brokers to request and provide updated Certificates of Insurance (COIs) on an annual basis.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Business Administration, Finance, Law, or a related field.
- 1 year of experience in risk management, compliance, internal audit, or a related area.
- Professional certification such as Certified Risk and Compliance Management Professional (CRCMP), Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM), or Certified Internal Auditor (CIA).
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with relevant regulations (e.g., GDPR, SOX, ISO 27001, HIPAA) and industry standards.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess complex risks and develop practical solutions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reporting and presenting findings to senior management.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in a highly regulated industry (e.g., finance, healthcare, technology).
- Proficiency in risk management software and GRC (Governance, Risk, Compliance) tools.
Physical Requirements & Compensation
Veoci offers remote work flexibility, with this role being required to work on campus, a minimum of three days per week with the option to work off site other days.
The wage range for this role is $55,000 - $65,000 plus benefits. Please note that the base salary range is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies, and work location.
