Amazon Web Services (AWS) is looking for a Specialist Solutions Architects (SSAs). As part of the AWS sales organization, SSAs work with customers who have complex challenges that require expert-level knowledge to solve. SSAs craft scalable, flexible, and resilient technical architectures that address those challenges. We are looking for a Streaming Data Specialist Solutions Architect to join our AWS team. This individual will serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for helping customers leverage AWS managed services such as Managed Streaming for Apache Kafka (MSK), Amazon Kinesis Data Streams, Amazon Data Firehose, and Amazon Managed Service for Apache Flink as well as self-managed Apache Kafka and Apache Flink running on AWS to solve their data management needs. The ability to link technology with measurable business value is critical to a solutions architect.

Key Job Responsibilities

1. Represent the voice of the customer; bring customer feedback to product teams to influence feature development and future product roadmap.
2. Provide advanced technical knowledge to your domain aligned GTM teams to unblock our customers’ largest and most critical business challenges.
3. Act as a thought leader sharing best practices through forums such as AWS blogs, whitepapers, reference architectures and public-speaking events.
4. Partner with Business Development teams to define the technical components of best in class GTM concepts, solutions, and initiatives.
5. Develop and support an AWS internal community of technical subject matter experts worldwide.
6. Create field enablement materials for the broader SA population, to help them understand how to integrate Amazon Web Services solutions into customer architectures.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

1. 7+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience
2. 5+ years of specific technology domain areas experience
3. 5+ years management of technical, customer facing resources

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

1. Experience communicating across technical and non-technical audiences, including executive level stakeholders or clients
2. Experience working with end user or developer communities
3. Experience architecting/operating solutions built on AWS
4. Cloud Technology Certification (such as Solutions Architecture, Cloud Security Professional or Cloud DevOps Engineering)
5. Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics or equivalent
