PRIMARY OBJECTIVE: The position is responsible for recruiting new students for
City Colleges of Chicago (CCC).
Duties And Responsibilities
- Contacts and meets high school counselors and teachers to explain the
- Participates in classroom visitations and other special events to explain CCC
- Provides information regarding admissions requirements and program
visits; follow up with mail or phone call as appropriate.
- Assists new students with the application process and explains career options.
- Produces follow-up reports regarding activities and future recruiting plans.
- Attends departmental and/or college meetings to maintain awareness of new
- Works with colleagues to coordinate assigned activities with other programs,
- Provides multi-campus support during special events and tours.
- Works with colleagues in the implementation of special projects.
- May serve as consultant and resource to internal departments with
information sessions, committees and professional development opportunities.
- May develop recruitment plan for academic programs; may promote and
- May coordinate education fairs at local businesses.
- Adheres to CCC Customer Service Excellence standards.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Counseling, Guidance, Psychology or Marketing,
and/or promotion required. A combination of education and professional work
experience may be considered at the discretion of management.
- Ability to organize and implement detailed and complex projects.
- Must be computer proficient with knowledge of a variety of software programs.
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and customer service skills required.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for both one on one interaction
