The VP of Sales is responsible for developing and implementing the Acute and Alternate Site Instruments commercial strategy by leading sales and clinical professionals and activities to improve profitable sales growth in a rapidly growing marketplace. The VP, Sales will lead a sales team of sales professionals and work with cross-functional partners in Marketing, Commercial Operations, Finance, Supply Chain, HR, etc. to create and implement strategic sales plans.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily:

  1. Drive top line sales results according to Business Plan, including defining and handling the monthly and annual sales objectives for all sales and clinical professionals.
  2. Meet and exceed sales and profit targets for the US Commercial Sales organization. Provide accurate sales forecasts and develop sales strategies including quotas, account objectives, and incentive plans.
  3. Coach and manage the performance and proficiency development of the team. Lead and develop Regional Business Managers and National Sales Director as they coach and manage the performance of field direct reports.
  4. Responsible for leadership development of employees, the culture of the commercial team, and ensuring the commercial organization operates in an ethical, diverse, and inclusive environment.
  5. Develop and enhance the clinical proficiency of the team in a manner that prioritizes business results/relationships and attainment of business goals.
  6. Recruit, develop, and retain talent in Instrument Sales (e.g., selection, performance management, succession planning, development planning, retention planning, etc.).
  7. Create and implement customer relationship strategies through the organization to drive positive partner engagement with key clinical and commercial partners.
  8. Responsible for developing strong customer relationships within the business with key customers.
  9. Partner with internal stakeholders (e.g. Marketing, Supply Chain, Commercial Operations, external partners, etc.) to create and implement strategic sales plans.
  10. Participate as an active member of the US Sales Leadership Team to ensure effective execution of commercial strategies.
  11. Create positive change and an environment of team engagement.
  12. Understand, adhere to, and hold the team accountable for adherence to Company programs, policies, and procedures (e.g., pricing models, expense reporting, compensation, healthcare compliance, Company policies, etc.).
  13. Assess market conditions to develop and implement competitive strategies to grow market share in line with the Company's strategic direction.
  14. Responsible for communicating business-related issues or opportunities to next management levels, including the SVP CSS Sales, Executive VP & President CSS, CEO, VP Marketing CSS, and CSS Executive Leadership team.
  15. Ensure subordinates follow all Company guidelines related to Health, Safety, and Environmental practices.
  16. Responsible for ensuring personal and Company compliance with all Federal, State, local, and Company regulations, policies, and procedures.
