Logistics and Distribution Manager
Responsibilities:
- Assess and prioritize daily shipping schedules to align with production targets
- Supervise all incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy, quality, and compliance with safety standards
- Coordinate space planning for shipments, ensuring optimal loading and storage practices
- Guarantee shipments adhere to state regulations regarding load limits and safety protocols
- Oversee the inspection and maintenance of material handling equipment, coordinating repairs as needed
- Manage vehicle maintenance records and keep precise documentation of shipments and backorders
- Prepare and manage bills of lading, and accurately record weight and shipping charges
- Lead and mentor your team, fostering a safe and organized work environment
Job Requirements
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in shipping and receiving
- Previous Food/Bev experience is preferred
- Bilingual in Spanish is advantageous, with prior experience in a production environment preferred
- Strong understanding of shipping and receiving procedures, including knowledge of routes and rates
- Experience with managing multiple SKUs and handling frozen/refrigerated products is preferred
- HACCP certification is a plus but not mandatory
