Responsibilities

YOUR ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Design, simulation, and verification of DC and RF electronic designs to meet the commitments of the Engineering and R&D department.
  2. Ability to design high power combiners including Waveguide, Wilkinson, Branchline, Gysel, Quad Hybrid, Lange and strategy to increase bandwidth of conventional combiners.
  3. Design passive RF elements such as Directional Couplers, Filters (lowpass, bandpass, highpass) of different topologies including lumped element, cavity and printed.
  4. Design high power amplifier such as Single, Balance, Doherty Amplifier.
  5. Implement impedance matching techniques for transistors to achieve high power, high efficiency, high linearity, and low noise using of both lumped element, distributed and quasi-lumped element.
  6. Create lineup of cascaded performance for active RF devices together with passive RF components as attenuators, filters, splitters, combiners, switches.
  7. Ability to use the cascade analysis to predict worst-case corner performance.
  8. Participate in hardware architecture decisions which affect RF architectures including RF amplification and linearization technologies, data interfaces, and system peripherals.
  9. Provide expertise by assisting in the formulation, development, and implementation of operating strategies and policies for RF design practices.
  10. Participate in all phases of a projects life cycle including system architecture design, schematic creation, parts selection, prototype development, system integration, system verification, and transitioning projects to other engineering teams, the manufacturing department, or product delivery to a customer.
  11. Take initiative and/or participate in discussions to solve interdisciplinary technical issues in a cross-functional team environment.
  12. Mentor other engineers, designers, and drafters in the tools, techniques, and skills required to accomplish work assignments.
  13. Provide information regarding "as built" configuration, as required for permanent records including schematics and BOM’s.
  14. Prepare and review PDR/CDR presentation packages with Engineering and R&D management prior to internal management and customer review.
  15. Provide engineering support to the Test and Production departments as required.
  16. Recommend new or innovative design approaches to expand the company’s engineering capabilities.
  17. Present any known or potential performance non-compliances to Engineering and R&D management immediately.
  18. Support technical input and writeups for proposals.
  19. Identify new customer and/or vendor requests and be able to infer potential technical impacts to original SOW and/or spec and documents these requests for Project Manager/Project Engineer to address potential cost and schedule implications.
  20. Interact with Project Engineers and Project Managers to inform them of project status and aid in project timeline planning.
  21. Understand System Impacts and/or Trades between various RF implementations with DC/Digital and Mechanical design aspects considered.
  22. Assist in meeting project scheduled milestones and present and/or discuss design issues during TIM’s, PDR, CDR and any other customer meetings as required.

  1. Eight (8) years or more of experience in a specialized functional discipline.
  2. This position requires access to technology, materials, software or hardware that is controlled by either ITAR or EAR U.S. export laws. As a condition to this job offer, in order to be employed in this position, you must be able to obtain an U.S. Government export license(s), as required by law.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. MS Office, (Word, Excel, Outlook), Internet software, AutoCAD, Spice, PADS, AWR Microwave Office, and Ansys HFSS.

Salary Range: $133,567.00 - $170,149.00 annually. Applicable pay within the posted range may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, geographical location, job function of the position, education, and experience of the successful candidate.
