Morgan Stanley Home Loans (MSHL), a division of MSPBNA, is looking for the best of the best to provide premier mortgage services to our clients. The Home Loans business is currently looking for an Associate to join the MSHL Pipeline Reporting and Analytics Team. This role reports to the VP of Pipeline Reporting and Analytics, and works closely with various functional areas within Home Loans.

Role Responsibilities

  1. Produce, compile, and distribute production reports on a daily/weekly/monthly basis to multiple levels of end-users including but not limited to: Home Loans Senior Management, various teams within the Home Loans Originations organization, control and oversight, compliance and finance.
  2. Provide daily update on underwriting activities, mortgage origination volume and loan cycle time.
  3. Interface with internal and external groups to acquire data required for reports.
  4. Utilize multiple software systems to aggregate, validate and analyze large quantities of data.
  5. Create on-going and ad hoc analytics to support the Home Loans Team in understanding the production, capacity, and performance of the business and identifying potential performance improvement opportunities.
  6. Serve as a subject matter expert when it comes to data related to the relevant function within Home Loans.

Qualifications

  1. Undergraduate degree in business, finance, or other related fields.
  2. 2-4 years' experience in financial services data analytics, preferably with an emphasis on mortgage products.
  3. Proven ability to work with modern analytics tools and experience in reporting.
  4. Advanced Excel and VBA skills are required; experience with PowerBI preferred.
  5. Analytical thinker with a thoughtful approach to problem solving and data interpretation.
  6. Demonstrates a positive attitude and is comfortable working in a very fast-paced environment.
