Job Details
Inspect raw materials and finished products to ensure they meet order specifications.
Set up tooling and machine parameters to optimize equipment performance.
Monitor machinery during operations to identify any deviations from standards.
Interpret production schedules and job orders to determine setup and product dimensions.
Use overhead cranes to handle raw materials and load machines.
Adjust machine controls and monitor indicators to regulate machine speeds.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Set precise points between rolls, guides, and stops based on required specifications.
Train and guide others in roll changes, equipment operation, and material handling.
Collaborate with team members to maximize efficiency and output.
Prepare materials for shipment and verify that orders match delivery specifications.
Safely lift and move materials, either manually or using overhead cranes.
Follow and promote company safety policies, procedures, and best practices.
Monitor gauges and indicators to ensure proper machine functionality.
Conduct routine maintenance and determine when repairs are needed.
Qualifications:
Familiarity with machinery and tools, including their design, use, and maintenance.
Understanding of raw materials, production processes, and quality control techniques.
Knowledge of arithmetic and geometry for measurements and conversions.
Ability to identify various material types such as aluminum, steel, and brass.
Proficiency in measurement and fraction/decimal conversions.
Understanding of safe lifting and rigging methods.
