The company is looking to expand its building science presence in the Midwest by bringing on an experienced Project Manager. The individual would be walking into a well-established global firm, with a host of technical staff in the Midwest and nationally at their disposal to assist with existing building projects.
Role Overview
The company is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join their Illinois office who has experience in building enclosure consulting for existing and new buildings. The individual must have strong technical experience as well as the ability to lead and mentor, helping to shape the local and national Building Science team.
Roles and Responsibilities
- BS in Architecture, Engineering, or other relevant degree.
- 6+ years of experience in BEC is necessary with a history of managing repair and restoration projects in Illinois.
- A professional licensure in Architecture/Engineering is required.
- Thorough knowledge of residential and commercial construction processes, codes, standards, and materials.
- Strong organizational and communication skills, both written and verbal, are a must.
- Proficiency in computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, and AutoCAD.
- Experience in managing both technical and administrative staff is required, along with consistent professional communication with clients and project teams.
- Must be willing to travel outside the local area at least 20% of the time, depending on workload and project locations.
