Responsibilities:
- Consult with sales managers and stakeholders to evaluate the company's performance
- Produce accurate sales reports that include marketing budgets, current market share, direct sales, and outline marketing strategies
- Actively seek new business using marketing campaigns, telemarketing, e-commerce, site visits, and other methods
- Evaluate market trends to determine pricing to balance costs, competition, and supply and demand
- Meet sales team goals and yearly sales targets, develop and implement short and long-term marketing strategies
Qualifications:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- 5+ years of experience in sales and marketing, preferably with some experience in a sales management role
- High school diploma or GED and a bachelor’s degree preferably in marketing or hospitality
- Thorough knowledge of marketing strategies and best practices for a sales department
- Proficiency in basic computer skills and software, including Microsoft Word and Excel
- Prior hotel sales experience required
- Prior Director or assistant experience
