Summary of Position

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Barista Supervisor to join our team. The Barista Supervisor will be responsible for supervising daily operations, ensuring exceptional customer service, and managing a team of baristas. The ideal candidate will have a passion for coffee, excellent leadership skills, and a commitment to maintaining a high standard of quality in all aspects of the coffee shop.

Key Job Elements

Team Supervisor:

  • Supervise and guide barista staff, ensuring a positive and productive work environment,
  • Conduct training sessions for new hires and ongoing skill development for existing team members.
  • Schedule and coordinate shifts to optimize efficiency and coverage.

Customer Service:

  • Foster a welcoming atmosphere for customers, providing excellent service and addressing any issues promptly.
  • Stay informed about coffee trends, products, and brewing techniques to enhance the customer experience.
  • Handle customer feedback and implement improvements as needed.

Operational Management:

  • Oversee daily operations, including opening and closing procedures.
  • Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and ensure proper stock rotation.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the coffee shop, including equipment upkeep.

Quality Assurance:

  • Uphold high standards for coffee preparation, presentation, and overall quality.
  • Conduct regular quality control checks and implement corrective measures as necessary.

Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with management to develop and implement promotional activities and marketing initiatives.
  • Work closely with suppliers to ensure the availability of high-quality coffee beans and related products.
  • Work with vendors and management to maintain monthly and annual budgets.

Budgets and Reports:

  • Tracking expenditures: Expense reports help track and document business-related expenses.
  • Monitoring spending: Expense reports help monitor and manage a company's spending.
  • Analyzing spending: Expense reports can help identify cost-saving opportunities analyzing spending patterns.


Qualifications

Knowledge/Experience

  • Proven experience as a barista with at least (1-2 years) in a leadership or supervisory role.
  • Strong knowledge of coffee brewing techniques, equipment, and industry trends.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Basic understanding of inventory management and ordering processes.
  • Provide weekly data reports on Inventory, team, feedback etc.
  • Ability to provide data analytics and budget reports to manager.
  • Ability to work independently with vendor sourcing and screening.
