Role Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Azure AI Engineer to join our Windows team. In this role, you will collaborate with various sectors within infrastructure, including Security and Networking, to create, launch, and support AI-based cloud and hybrid applications. The ideal candidate will possess advanced Gen AI, Azure, and technical skills, along with exceptional interpersonal abilities. You should exhibit a strong blend of technical expertise and industry knowledge, demonstrating excellent communication, teamwork, customer service, and leadership qualities.
Additional Information*
The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within New York, NY is $130k - $145k/year & benefits (see below).
Key Responsibilities:
- Translate Business Requirements: Convert business needs for AI applications into effective AI solutions within Azure.
- Technology Selection: Choose appropriate Azure technologies, considering deployment models and seamless integration with existing tools.
- Collaboration: Partner with Enterprise Architecture, Application Development, and Business teams to design pilot projects and develop production-ready solutions.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Gather feedback from diverse stakeholders to ensure technical implementation aligns with current and future AI requirements.
- Risk Mitigation: Work closely with security and risk leaders to foresee and mitigate risks, ensuring ethical AI usage and compliance.
- LLM Operations: Gain an understanding of and contribute to LLM operations, focusing on the infrastructure and operational capabilities required to deploy Azure AI solutions.
- Tool Development: Develop tools and capabilities that support data ingestion, feature engineering, data management, and organization.
- Security Practices: Integrate security best practices into solutions to facilitate streamlined CI/CD pipelines for deployment and secure software delivery.
- Azure OpenAI Service: Establish the Azure OpenAI service in Microsoft Azure with an architecture tailored to support business teams.
Preferred Qualifications and Skills:
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years in implementing cloud-based AI workloads on Azure, delivering production-grade solutions.
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science, or a related field.
- Azure OpenAI Solutions: At least 1 year of experience in implementing Azure OpenAI solutions.
- Generative AI & Deep Learning: Proficiency in Generative AI, Deep Learning, Machine Learning, and LLMOps.
- LLM Experience: Hands-on experience in prompting and fine-tuning in GPT-3.5/Turbo, GPT-4/4o is essential; experience with other LLMs is a plus.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications in AI/ML technologies and cloud platforms, such as Azure AI Engineer Associate (AZ-102). Certification in Azure Solutions Architect Expert and other cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Google) is a plus.
- Programming Skills: Proficient in one of the following languages: Python, R, Java, or C#.
- Cloud Services Expertise: Familiarity with Azure OpenAI, Document Intelligence, AI Search, Cosmos DB, App Service, Managed Identities, Customer Managed Keys, Azure IaaS and PaaS solutions, and Copilot Studio.
- CI/CD Tools: Experience with CI/CD tools such as Bitbucket and Terraform is essential.
- Testing Experience: Proven experience in gathering non-functional requirements, performing design and validation of application architecture frameworks, and executing functional, stress, and performance testing.
- Business Analysis Skills: Strong knowledge of business analysis, requirement gathering, and gap analysis.
- Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Adaptability: A fast learner who is both an individual contributor and a team player, capable of working under pressure.
- Power Automate Development: Experience in Power Automate development would be a plus.
