Joining Ramboll
As our new Circular Materials Scientist, you will:
- Apply your knowledge in Material Science and/or Chemical Engineering to circular product design, circular building materials, and circular economy strategies.
- Leverage your experience with material science to collaborate with manufacturers, exploring plastic reduction strategies, recycled content, and alternative regenerative materials.
- Collaborate with health sciences colleagues for HPD documentation, toxicity assessments, and meeting Prop 65 and other product transparency policy.
- Contribute to achieving product certifications such as Declare, Cradle to Cradle, etc. and associated building certifications.
- Advise on sustainable material choices in the product development or building process.
Your Starting Point for Constant Growth
We seek a candidate with:
- A degree in Material Science and/or Chemical Engineering.
- 3-7 years of relatable experience.
- Experience with polymer materials, with a preference for candidates who have worked with recycled content and alternative regenerative materials.
- Proven ability to develop and apply test methods, including ASTM testing standards.
- Experience in product development, especially with a focus on sustainability.
- Passion for decarbonization and circular solutions as a part of that.
- A strong work ethic, initiative, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

At Ramboll, your base pay is only part of your overall total compensation package. At the time of this posting, this role is likely to be compensated at an annual base salary between $79,000 - $94,500. Actual pay may be more or less than the posted range, depending on numerous factors, including experience, geographical location, internal equity, market conditions, education/training and skill level, and does not include bonuses, overtime, or other forms of compensation or benefits.
