Finance Manager

This is a small business; the Financial Manager will touch all levels of finance from entry-level bookkeeping to financial modeling for future scenarios. You should have mastery over general bookkeeping practices and some experience with financial analysis and forecasting. This is a mid-range position that will wear many hats. Candidates should be eager to learn and contribute strategically to the company’s future with a strong self-starter disposition. The ability to problem solve quickly and give attention to detail is essential. Familiarity with music royalties is desired, but not required. This position is full time, based in Atlanta, and reports directly to the SVP of Operations.

Responsibilities:

• Verify, allocate, post and reconcile transactions
• Report organization’s finances to management and offer suggestions about resource utilization
• Prepare and process payroll
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Use financial modeling to simulate financial scenarios
• Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information
• Assist outside firm with processing and collection of all necessary tax information
• Oversee album budgets including tracking expenses and reporting to the team
• Deliver album expenses for royalty processing
• Analyze market trends to discover business opportunities and maximize profits
• Maintain an orderly accounting filing system
• Support month-end and year-end close process
• Communicate effectively with producers, artists, suppliers, etc. regarding payment processing
• Develop trends and projections for the company’s finances
• Explore and bring forward cost-reduction opportunities
• Generate 1099s and W2s
• Provide technical support for financial software to management
• Direct internal and external audits
• Ability to contribute to whatever financial need may arise, including learning new skills and quickly adapting to the changing needs of the business
