Signia by Hilton Atlanta is looking for a creative Director of Purchasing to lead their team! The ideal candidate will be a collaborator with all departments in the hotel while creating an organized, controlled procurement operation. The Signia by Hilton Atlanta is owned by the Georgia World Congress Center (GWCC). This 976-key property with 130,000 square feet of self-contained space is attached to the GWCC and adjacent to the Mercedes-Benz Stadium. The Signia Atlanta is the premier hotel within the city/southeast for conventions and in-house events! A Director of Purchasing for Signia Atlanta plans, organizes, directs, and controls all purchasing functions of the hotel to ensure that the highest quality product is purchased at the best possible price. Responsibilities include:

  • Hire, supervise, train, coach, counsel, and discipline purchasing staff to ensure smooth operation of all aspects of the department.
  • Manage the RFP and bid process. Obtain bids from vendors according to the specifications set by the standards and/or department head. Determine the best possible price for the desired items and place orders for all food and non-food items.
  • Schedule deliveries of items and monitor the quality of products received to ensure they meet the hotel’s established standards and operational needs as outlined by each department.
  • Communicate with Director of Food and Beverage, Executive Chef, and Sous Chefs and order all food and beverage products according to hotel needs and specifications. Forecast operational needs and schedule deliveries of all food and beverage items.
  • Ensure all regional and corporate purchasing programs, policies, and procedures are met. Monitor appropriate levels of inventories in order to minimize waste and maximize turnover.
  • Participate in all hotel meetings including staff, Food and Beverage, and Banquet Event Order (BEO) meetings.
