JOB DESCRIPTION:
As a Medical Assistant you are a critical member of the clinic team! You will engage directly with our patients and work to an exceptional patient experience by performing a wide variety of clinical and administrative tasks to support patient care delivery. You will be provided with the opportunity to cross-train in other areas of the clinic and will be able to use your problem-solving skills to overcome challenges in a fast-paced environment. Your duties will be delegated and supervised by the Provider (Physician/Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant).
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Communicating with patients, front desk and clinical staff, and providers.
  • Recording patient history and personal information.
  • Measuring vital signs.
  • Assisting providers with patient examinations.
  • Preparing blood samples for laboratory tests.
  • Entering patient information into the software system.
  • Providing back up coverage for the front desk as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE AND REQUIREMENTS:
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • A minimum of 6 months experience as a Medical Assistant is preferred.
  • Experience with electronic medical records preferred.
  • Required to work flexible schedules including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
